Here are her own words quoted word for word. I am a member and we haven't heard from her in nearly two weeks. We don't think we will be paid even though she said she wouldn't run off with the money. She hasn't been responsive to support tickets nor emails in weeks. She posted this on her now closed website nearly 3 weeks ago:

In no way shape or form do I plan on running off with everyones money. I am in a tight spot now as I am having huge problems getting affiliates to pay on time, so I have decided to close freebie fortress, as it is not fair to my users to have to always question
when they are going to get paid. I opened this site not knowing what kind of money I needed to have set aside to stay a month ahead.

Everyone will be paid, at the latest within this month. I did order the gift cards for contests with my paypal debit card, and it was reversed due to the funds not being there as I had believed them to be.

I am terribly sorry for the issues and inconveniences everyone has suffered due to the lack of activity on my part this week. I had really high hopes for the site, and hope that someday maybe I will be able to reopen a site with the knowledge I now have of what it truly takes to run one well.

I thank everyone for their support and patronage for the last few months. I am sorry things didn't work out better, but I learned alot and appreciate everyone's support through now.

I don't really know what else to say. I am not going to be one of those site owners that vanishes and takes everyones money. As soon as I get paid this month - all payments will go out."
