Help needed!

Hi, I’m a newly single mother who stays at home looking after my son. I have been writing for a long-long time but never thought to do something serious with it. I would like to try freelance copywriting, but don't know the first thing about it. How can I get started? Can anyone help me? I love writing and I could really-really use the extra cash- raising a young child alone really hits the wallet pocket. I appreciate any replies, and hope that I may be able to help in return sometime soon. Thank you very much.

You can check out digitalpoint services forums (create a thread about your service), sitepoint marketplace (where I think you can publish your service for $20), and many freelancer sites like scriptlance, etc.

I often see people looking for copywriting services in these sites.

It would also help if you could set up a simple blog/webpage about your copywriting services. To gain exposure, you might want to offer a few free copywriting in digitalpoint freebies forum.

You could try promoting affiliate products, using articles. Write informative, helpful articles on whichever niche you choose, and then suggest a product which might help the reader with what they are looking for. Submit your articles to article directories, with a link to the product you are promoting.
