Default Wht type of protection do you use for your computer!
What type of virus and ad protection do you use and any thing else that you can think of and how do you rate it.

Something to think about if you do business on the internet.

I use bitdefender internet security 2008. it's rated #1 right now and i have been using it for a long time now. its a really great program and also has a good firewall. Check out how a bunch of antivirus systems compare to each other HERE.

smittymu is that a free version are what.

Myself I use free versions on everything and they are pretty good.
I use Avasti home edition been using it for several years now.
I also use free anti-spyware ,free malware. free disc defragmentation, and free spamblockers and I haven't had a problem out of any of them and I stay updated.

My computer dates back to 2000. I just keep updating. what about you.

I use AVG, which is free and fairly decent. No viruses so far!

I also use AVG free version and also windows defender wish is also free. These two pieces of software together are great for securing your computer.

I am using a paid service called Invisius. They've expanded their options and now you can get identity theft protection along with security software. Novel idea! They also have an affliate program (which I'm not involved in).

Have always heard good comments about the company and their service.

I go with Norton 360. It backs up all my work files while my computer is idle, as well as keeps the hard drive defragmented and other things. It got good rating from PC magazine though I have seen a lot of negative feedback from customers. I haven't had any problems though and wouldnt have any problem recommending it to someone else.

AVG free edition
+ SpyBot (also free)

- well known, free and good programs :)

I was happy all the time with this combination. Just recently got some kind of virus, which disconnected my antivirus program (i catched that malware after with SpyBot). to be honest - only just a few hours from now fixed my internet connection back :032:

I use AVG antivirus, Ad-Aware, Spybot and comodo firewall. All are free and i am satisfied.
