Starting a business is EXCITING! All the planning, preparation and bright dreams of the future makes starting a business the ultimate dream come true. In today’s economic crisis, more and more people are turning to home-based businesses as a way of making more money.
Two most important attitudes that every aspiring entrepreneur must nurture are self-motivation and self-discipline. You can expect to meet challenges especially during the early stages of the business. Being motivated will help you stay strong and continue with the business despite the hardships along the way. On the other, self-discipline is also a crucial virtue. Being your own boss and running a home business means being in control and making major decisions. Without self-discipline, you may be tempted to put off tasks or make impulsive decisions.
Finally, before starting a home business, you need to make sure that you have the skills, knowledge and MONEY.

Most think they don't have to spend nothing ... (and become rich)
And overnight and if possible with no skills

Having your own business certainly is great. It might take awhile to finally make it, but once you do, what an amazing feeling it is. All your hard work finally pays off!

I beg to differ on this one.
I think that it IS possible to start your own empire with nothing.
When I was 15 I had no money at all, so I started a website selling a few ebooks that I'd written for $5 each. Within a few months I'd made $500 profit after paying for my adwords. (With profits, as I said I had nothing.)
Then I used that $500 to buy more sites and build them up, making more profit over the years.
Now I just promote one site, not my own, and make over $9k on a good month - plus last month I got a MacBook Pro 17 inch for being the top performer.
Nothing to $9k + in a few years isn't half bad.

I would say to that, Hope is a lot easier to have when you know you have thousands of dollars in the bank and can afford more or less anything you want :P

I completely agree with you, unless you are not disciplined and not motivated enough you can not spring yourself into action and take great strides every day you can not aspire to be a success in business.
