The story so far.
I've played with forex on and off for nearly two years, I've opened play accounts with several of the big internet brokers (FXCM, Oanda, FXsol) but lacked the 'balls' to get involved for real. A few weeks back I came across someone cheerleading a program called 'Freedomrocks' (see relevent thread )in the general folder on TG. If something catches my eye I'll sometimes investigate in order to keep up with developments in this arena. Whilst the MLM aspect of this program turns me off cold, their trading strategy looks interesting. Its nothing particualry special, its a hedging currency pairs to cap your losses (and gains ) and playing for the interest you get on open positions. A well trodden path, by all accounts.
This is my attempt to do FOREX for real using a home brew strategy inspired by the freedomrocks program. (I signed up for the free trial and played for a while). I'm out of the trial period now, so I'm on my own. (I'm not prepared to risk sufficient capital to make enough to pay for the program. )
After playing with FXSOL (FR's recommended broker) I decided that at my risk tolerance, 400:1 leverage is way too risky (their big selling point). Oanda's platform runs on the Mac (or Windoze or Linux), I like the interface and 50:1 is plenty big enough to bury myself, so I've gone with Oanda.
