Well, I would also say Adsense is one way to go. But you might also look into CPA marketing. Just Google it and identify a few CPA networks to join. For this type of marketing you simply direct visitors to advertisers' websites and you get paid per lead.

The advantage being the person doesn't have to buy anything. Commissions vary anywhere from $1 to $75+ depending on the value of the lead.

You can use a free Blogger blog or Squidoo or Hubpages etc. Just write an informative article on the subject and provide a link to the advertiser's sales page.

This type of marketing is generally easier than affiliate marketing where to get paid the visitor has to buy something.

How can you earn through Affiliate sales on Google? I would say depending on your niche look up useful products sold online, and then market them on your websites. The #1 most important factor, though, is traffic. If you have no traffic who are you going to sell to or have click your ads?

Having a website isn't what's going to earn you money. I think that's the underlying message that's implied in the replies I'm seeing. Traffic, traffic and more traffic is what's going to bring you revenue. The first thing you'll want to consider is how you can attract visitors to you. Think about what information you can provide that visitors will be searching for and will find useful. You don't have to have a website. You can use a blog, Hub pages, articles, etc. The important thing is to develop a stragey for getting traffic. Adsense, affiliate marketing, CPA networks, etc. are only good if you've got people paying attention to you.

Creating a blog on your site (or making the entire site a blog) can often be the "quick route" to getting traffic. The trick, as stated above, is offering information that people want. You need to think first about the kind of things you can blog about, or places you can scrape others' posts. But it can't just be a regurgitation of stuff I can find anywhere else. Give it some substance and spend some time promoting your blog across the net. Once you get some traffic flowing, you can effectively pursue the ideas suggested here (adsense, CPA, affiliate marketing, etc).

Better yet, if you know the types of affiliate products you want to sell, start your blog about that particular niche. That tends to give your site the best fit all around when you start to promote affiliate products.

If you own a site, then promote it and when you have lot of traffic advertisters will come themselves :)

Adsense is always the best if you have good traffic, of black label ads - if you're running an adult website.

Affiliate links can be good too, or referrals - my GPTHQ referral link has paid off big time

With Pay Per Click programs. Adsense is very good, powered by Google and there are many ads everyday for your visitors to click, other PPC programs are having ads only if you have visitors...
