Default Intel Vs. Amd

Hey I'm building a new computer and i Am willing to pay 400-650$ for a motherboard and cpu do you think i should go with amd or intel

iam not experienced in that field,,,,butthe most of my friends are in favour of using amd than intel.

In terms of microprocessor, I prefer Intel because the speed is faster than Amd and in terms of reliability, Intel has the complete package of it. So, I say go for Intel if you want to buy it.

Well, if you want more bang for your buck, go AMD. That said, if you spend a bit more for Core Duo from Intel you can get an edge. However, look out, AMD apparently has a core duo killer up their sleeves. They already have some rather nice Dual core 64bit CPU's which are well worth it.

in terms of price, amd is a bit cheaper than intel. not much difference in peformance in term of performance but amd is a bit easily to heat up so u might need to install extra cooling fan if u use amd
