Default POP server Recommendation
Dear All,

Didi some one know which POP server currently best at supporting both Plain Text and SSL authentication.

I have setup my own LAN EMAIL Server with Gentoo, using uw-imap which include pop and pops server/services. I am using mybestmail.

Somehow, i have trouble using POP. I can only run the email server with POP with SSL.
Otherwise, none of my users can/able receive mails.

Please advise.

If you emerge courier-imap it includes a pop3 daemon. Start it with /etc/init.d/courier-pop3d start

I looked around and found a simple howto for a POP server.

Any reason why you prefer POP over IMAP?
