Default Comparisons of the different browsers?

I'm unsure about the safety of these browsers. Both are cool, but now they become more and more populars in hackers' attacs.
Opera is less popular than Firefox, but in Russia Firefox is more popular. I think there are much more attacs from Russian hackers, so if I choose Opera - hackers are ready to hack it?

May be somebody can advice another, less popular browser?
Thanks.

I like firefox but it's hogging too much memory..

Opera is good too but some sites don't seem to display correctly on this browser.

Try open 5-10 tabs in Firefox and leave it on overnight. Then observe the change in memory usage.

Do the same for other browsers and you see that Firefox is taking up way too much memory resource.

It's not that useful for people who leave their computer on for 24/7 or long period of time.
