Did you check out Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? There you may look for subsidized or unsubsidized loans. Besides, you do not need even any credit check.
In general, many federal student loans do not offer as much as you expect. And if their offer is not sufficient for you then it is better to apply for student loans that do not pay attention your credit history at all.
