Hello

I want to make a blog. But before that I want to know about few advantages of wordpress and blogspot. Which site is better for me? And why? I want to know some advantages and benefits of both site. Then I will decide for my blog. I don't have any ideas for this. So please share your knowledge with me.

Will you go for wordpress hosted version or self-hosted version? Blogspot is more popular than wordpress but I think wordpress is more beneficial most especially with a self-hosted version.

For me, WordPress is better… You have tags and categories. On Blogger you have only tags! You can install it on your own server or webpage, since it is open-source, there are thousand of plug-ins available to download and use them for free. And no ads…

For a newbie, blogspot is better to use than wordpress because blogspot is easy to use.

With blogger easy to add in automated social bookmarking links. One of the most widely used blogging platforms. Blogger wins hard on customization, ads, social bookmarking, and ease of use. Blogger also publishes faster. WordPress wins on statistics. Its a bit early to say whether the wordpress community translates into a traffic win. WordPress is more for the professional blogger then most blogger programs out there.
