Gold – A Commodity for Long Term Investment

The precious metal (Gold, Silver) is considered as a form of currency in Forex market. Nowadays, many people prefer gold trading due to drastic increase in price of gold in last few years. Gold are usually traded using futures contracts where a contractual agreement made on the trading floor of a futures exchange to buy or sell gold at a pre-determined price in the future. Similar to foreign currency trading, gold is traded electronically in same way to currency pairs and does not require any physical buy or sale.

Online gold trading is surely a great way to make additional profits. During economic uncertainty of the country, gold is a great commodity for long term investments. Investors can gain profits form up and down movements in gold price. In fact, an investor can gain profit through speculation whether the price of gold will increase or go down in future. Gold has always been in demand for a long time and any investors can treat gold as a hedge against inflation and safe for long term investment.

I agree with you. Investing in gold is a safe investment and also gold is portable, easy to store and can be easily converted to cash any time.

Hi,

I think you are right, Gold is the best commodity to invest money. Main reason is it's price is increasing very fast since last couple of years. It is suitable to store, more importantly it can be cashed any time in the current rate and there would always be the demand of it in the market.

That's what I don't get: there will always be a demand of gold in the market.

Would be very thankful if somebody could just explain this for me. I mean the demand obviously changes from time to time, so why couldn't it just simply go away?
