Default How many LINUX users here?

I see that maybe the best thing when we have some money to protect is to use LINUX, so I ask, what operating system you use?

    Hi.

I've been using UNIX-based operating systems since 1996.
The first one I started out with, was Slackware, created by Patrick Volkerding.

After some years, I decided that I would try some other distribution. The reason for this, was because some of my hardware at the time, wasn't supported under the modified kernel, which was included in Slackware.

I went looking for a distro which was secure, stable and responsive. I ended up with Debian, my first system, based on the apt package system. I though it was very good, and until this day, I have used it. Although I do dualboot Debian and Slackware 12.0 on my main computer.

I also have two laptops, which one is currenly running Ubuntu 7.04 (Feisty Fawn), and another one running some version of Gentoo.

    I like a stable system.

A professional, seeing as linux is a lot more competent, is more powerful and avid penguin lover.

Yeah! I use linux…Take a look at Linux Mint 6 which I can systematically recommend and runs pretty much 'out of the box'.

Got Ubuntu 9.10 running on my server. FreeBSD Unix on my test machine (first try at UNIX) and XP on my laptop. Ive tried almost all the mainstream linux distros from Fedora to Mandriva.
